Security:

• Any transmission may be intercepted and recorded.
• Recorded tranmissions can be decoded given enough time.
• The primary defense of any internet transaction is the sheer VOLUME of traffic that takes place.
• Sending credit card numbers in smaller pieces, over several emails, in principle helps secure transmissions as having one part will not be useful to the interceptor.
• The Lorrin Wong Bookseller website does not currently employ any additional encryption, although this may change as traffic merits.

Special Instruction Examples:

  Every now and then, a customer insists on some odd thing which can (sometimes) be explained in this section.
  For example, one customer insisted on delivery by UPS (because there was a security door at his apartment and the Post Office won't leave a box in the open) and the UPS man was to deliver the parcel to the building superintendent (evidently he'd used this method with success in the past).
  Another example of the text editor usage would be to specify the mode of shipping if the customer selects 'OTHER'.

The text information merely needs to be incorporated into the order information that is sent to me.

So, for example:
UPS only, leave package with building super.
   -or-
Leave package by side door, knock twice by the light of the fading sun and the keyhole will appear... (Just Kidding, but you get the idea)
